Separ8 never mixes anything. Every source lands as its own file, all starting at the same moment, already in the folder when you stop. No project to unpack first.
Separ8 lets you choose a specific channel on a specific audio interface for each microphone track that gets recorded. You can arm as many or as little tracks as you need for each recording. Multiple tracks armed become multiple files, not one shared stereo file.
No more baking your webcam into a corner of the screen recording, where you can never move or remove it. Now every camera gets its own file, at full size, so a second or third angle is just another layer.
Separ8 starts every track at the same instant and writes them to the same length. Drop the whole folder of files onto a timeline and it lands in sync, with nothing to nudge.
Separ8 installs its own audio virtual loopback device, so your computer's sound is captured directly, with no routing necessary. If you already use another virtual routing software, you have the flexibility to use those instead.
Separ8 captures the most a screen recorder can deliver from a display, and spends only the bitrate the picture actually needs. It encodes in H.264 High profile and stops spending once more data stops improving the picture.
